Mission
The Center integrates state-of-the-art advancements in distance
learning and instructional technology to compliment the academic
programs of the university and enrich the learning experience.
We provide assistance to faculty infusing information technology
into the curricula so that students exit with the fundamental
knowledge and basic ability to use these resources in everyday
life and in future occupations. Our office extends the outreach
of the university to the local community and South Texas region
by offering distance learning and technology-based instruction
to students on campus and at remote locations. The Center
develops and enhances the delivery of technology-based instruction
and provides technology support services for instructors and
students enrolled in these courses.
