Commencement Availability
The Center for Distance Learning and Academic Technology (DLAT) has produced the video for the local in house monitors, outbound web stream and full video for broadcast on local public stations for many years.  DLAT staff members from Academic Technology, Video Production Services and Distance Learning have worked to improve the delivery, availability and accessibility of commencement to the UTSA community.  Every year new technologies help extent the reach and saturation of commencement events to the off-campus UTSA community.

During Commencement, family members who were not in attendance are able to view commencement on the local San Antonio cable provider or view the ceremony online.  Graduates are able to request copies of their commencement ceremony a few weeks after the post-production is complete.  These files were archived to a DVD ROM and are available from Fall of 2000 to UTSA alumni by request.

We are now offering a free and direct service to UTSA Graduates and Families of Graduates.  In order to use this service, you must have a DVD burning porgram and a DVD burner on your computer. If you do not have a DVD burning program or DVD burner on your computer--this process will not work. If you have the necessary software and hardware, please click on the ceremony below to begin downloading the DVD ISO file image to your computer. After the download is complete, open your DVD burning program and follow directions after selecting the iso file.

An ISO image is an archive file (also known as a disk image) of an optical disc in a format defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This format is supported by many software vendors. As with any other archive, an ISO image includes all the data of files contained on the archived CD/DVD. They are stored in an uncompressed format. In addition to data of the files it also contains all the file system metadata, including boot code, structures, and attributes.
