ParSCORE Grading Services

ParSCORE Grading Services is a free service provided to all teaching faculty at UTSA. The electronic grading system can provide fast and accurate grading of multiple-choice tests. Class size and course load are not a problem. We will simplify your grading making it easy and convenient.

Registration Requirements: Click Here!

  • Registration for ParScore Services is required at the beginning of EVERY Semester or Minimester.
  • All new clients must make an appointment with the ParScore manager.

Drop-Off, Processing, Pick-up, Delivery: Click Here!

  • Drop-Off: Drop-off times in the ParScore Office (MS 3.02.28) are Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. After hours Drop Off - MS 1.03.06 (MS Student Computing Lab) Please make sure to have answer keys, student test forms, Grading Instructions, and a manila envelope with instructor’s name and department on front.
  • Processing: The goal is to process tests in one to two business days from the date and time of drop-off in the ParScore office. During high volume times such as Midterms and Finals, the processing time may be extended.
  • Pick-ups: All tests are available for pickup after email notification has been given. Instructors or TA’s may pick-up tests. Other personnel picking up tests must have a valid UTSA ID Card and a note from instructor with permission to pick-up.
  • Delivery: Any test left in the ParScore office for more than a week will be returned to the instructor’s department office.

  • The following forms are specified for ParScore use:
    Quiz Form - No. F-14507-PAR-L (Short Pink Form with 20 Questions)
  • Test Form - No. X-101864-PAR-L (Long Red form with 100 Questions)
  • Student Enrollment Form/Expanded Test Form-No. F-17-12-ERI-L (Large Pink Form with 200 Questions with Writing Space on the back)

Report Descriptions: Click Here!

  • Roster Report: A grade book report containing the Banner ID’s and names of the students in the class. The report comes in two forms: ALL CATEGORIES which will include ALL the grade columns in the gradebook; SELECTIVE CATEGORIES will only include only the test at the time of processing.
  • Item Analysis: A breakdown of the test by question providing several pieces of statistical information such as Mean, Median, and Highest and Lowest Score. The report comes in two forms: STANDARD (very simple to read) and DETAILED (provides more detailed statistical information). The report is generated for each version of the test at the time of processing.
  • Score Distribution: A breakdown of student scores overall for the exam. The report comes in two forms: PERCENTILE (a numeric version) and HISTOGRAM (a graphic version). Both forms provide the Mean, Median, and Highest and Lowest Score for the test at the time of processing.
  • Class Response Report: A complete report of all test responses at the time of processing. This report is generated for each version of the test and can be created WITH or WITHOUT the ANSWER KEY. This report will contain a legend noting right and wrong answers.
  • Student Test Reports: An individual report per student test . This report can be generated WITH or WITHOUT the ANSWER KEY. This report will contain a legend noting right and wrong answers.
